Now that we begin to add more dark contrast with acrylics you’ll notice how the face and hands start to stand out more. I also use some of the fluid acrylics to darken the lashes and darkest points of the face.
Now as we get to the end of the painting I like to add some more line work with pastel or color pencil. This part is optional and you can leave the painting as is if you like. Sometimes it’s nice to add those extra colors over the watercolor that give it a little more interest.
