Sometimes life throws all kinds of obstacles in our way. But we keep moving forward, keep getting up and trying, no matter what.
And this is what he is doing in this film. He’s sent to save the world, and he’s not letting anyone stop him.
And I think that’s the kind of attitude we should have with our art.
Don’t let yourself get discouraged, or overwhelmed by all the art out there. I know I am tempted to do sometimes.
But when we let ourselves start thinking we need to meet certain standards or paint in a certain way we lose the spontaneity and expressiveness that is our genuine self, that art that can come only from you and your personal voice.
Never let anything get in the way of that.
And so with this determination in mind we will move on to this next challenge!
I painted this over a few days so I would be able to take breaks and see where I needed to correct or add anything.
It really helps to do this and not to rush into finishing it in one sitting, especially if this is the first time you are painting a male face.
