Introduction

Hello wonderful artists, welcome to the classroom!

I can hardly contain my excitement to be here with you all!

When I first created this class, I had just begun my art journey.

This was my very first teaching experience, an opportunity offered by Ivy Newport, who hosted my workshop on her website for the first year in 2016.

It was an amazing experience, and I can honestly say I may not have discovered my love for teaching if it weren’t for her encouragement to take that first leap.

Now, many classes later, I am SO happy to be able to offer you this class once again! It is very dear to me and was such a special and magical experience to create, and I hope you enjoy it.

And, to celebrate this event I’ve added a special NEW BONUS VIDEO at the end, available only in this classroom! 🙂

So what are waiting for? lets get started! 😀

It’s such a joy to be able to share my enthusiasm with you as you join me in the magical world of expression where the canvas is our playground and anything everything is possible!
During these past few years, I’ve realized that in order to paint what really matters to me, I had to let go of my fear. It’s natural to want to know how our painting is going to turn out, or if people will like it or what others will think. All this is very common and normal. I face the same fears. We all do at some point.
But we are going to put that aside for a moment and ask ourselves some questions.
“What do I want to paint?” What do I wish to express?” “What can I create for the pure joy of just creating?”
Let’s lay aside any fears or pre-conceived ideas about what we ‘should’ paint, or what kind of art we think others would ‘want’ or ‘expect’ to see. Let’s just do this for ourselves, and for the joy it brings, shall we?

I would love to see your work in our Facebook group! This is a private group for Into the Myst students to share their work and connect with each other. (You can also tag me in your post if you have any questions.)
