Painting the figure

Wasn’t that fun? I bet you were up to your elbows in paint! You can really go wild with this, make as many layers as you like, you can even write words hidden in-between the layers that speak your voice. Use the colors you love! Don’t forget to post your work in the Facebook group and tag me too!
Once you’ve completed the background layers and are ready to add your figure, think about what you want to express.

Think about this while choosing your image. What is she (or he) discovering? What magical truths are you choosing to bring into the light?
I wanted to portray my creative voice as I was in a creative block for so many years. I wanted to portray light as I suffered from depression in complete darkness for far too long. I wanted to portray wonder on her face as she discovered that there is a way to express ourselves, even for shy people like me. So that’s what I considered when choosing my reference photo and deciding what I would put in her hands.

Think about all those aspects and what you want to express, and then we can continue to these next videos were we continue to tell our story through art.

So how did it go? I’m sure you surprised even yourself of what magic you are capable of! Once we let go of our fear, and just get in the flow, we can really connect with our heart and intuition.
