so WHAT KIND OF SUPPLIES TO you NEED FOR THIS WORKSHOP?
Let me first point out that you really don’t have to go out and buy everything on the list! Many things can easily be substituted with materials you already have…
I’ve added the ones I used just to give you an idea, and will show you briefly in the video below… If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask me in the Facebook group and I’ll be happy to help! (Don’t forget to tag me so I don’t miss it!)
supply list
- Watercolor paper (I used Arches, 9×12? Hotpress, 140 ib, but even cold press or your watercolor journal is fine too)
- pencil & eraser
- Watercolors. You can totally use what you have! (I used mostly Daniel Smiths: Lunar black, moonglow, pthalo blue, Rose of ultramarine, Imperial purple, gold, Quinacridone rose; plus pthalo turquoise & cobalt teal of W&N)
- Watercolor paintbrushes: I used a large, medium and fine round for details, plus an aquabrush.
- White gouache or white ink
- Gold ink (I used copper gold calligraphy ink from Dr. PH Martin)
- Aquapasto watercolor medium from W&N (optional)
- Small sheet of watercolor for testing colors and brush techniques (or your journal)
- Palette for mixing, water jar, napkins
- Fine acrylic brush for applying ink (or a dip pen)
- Circle template ruler or compass for drawing the small moons (optional)
