One of the faery folk I resonate the most with are the Elves of Light — also known as the Light Elves.
Similar to angelic beings, these higher forms of elves are air spirits from the air element.
I have always been drawn to the air element both because of my birth sign element (Aquarius), but also because I feel the strong connection to my soul realm, the angelic realm.
Spirits of the air are light, ethereal and generally have wings. They mostly live in windy places such as the sky, mountain tops, hilltops, pyramids, meadows or grasslands. It’s no wonder that when I am hiking the mountain tops I feel most at home! When I feel the wild wind on my face and view the world from a bird eye’s view, where I can see the mountain tops, the sky, the clouds, I feel a deep sense of belonging, of peace, and of joy.
Air spirits have many forms, and you may come across some that have never even been described in books or stories before. They are empowered by the energy of the clouds, mountains, hills, on cold frosty mornings when the ice shimmers in the grass, or rainbow butterflies as they flutter from flower to flower, stirring the air with their beauty.

Air spirits are active, energetic, and inventive. Because they live in the astral plane, we can work with them regardless of where we are.
They offer clairaudience and can help us with the gift of speech as well as help aid in healing from anxiety and depression. They can give us clear focus, concentration, teaching abilities, independence, creative gifts, healing gifts, and can help us expand and grow with new possibilities and new beginnings.
One way to call on these air spirits for guidance and empowerment is by saying these simple words: “Wise spirits of the air, carry me to places of beauty that I may soar and rise through the skies.”
Air magic can be used for many things, including new beginnings, self-employment, learning, healing and surgery, speeding up slow-moving matters, travel, and moving.
Some air crystals are amethyst, angelite, clear quartz, blue opal or angel aura, lapiz lazuli, sodalite and turquoise.
One wonderful way to raise their energy is by music and song, activating the energy of sound as it moves through the air.
Some other materials to attract air faeries are feathers, light sounding wind chimes, fragrances and light flower incense, mist, ceiling mobiles such as dream catchers (I have these all over my home) and bird song
Unlike the well known air spirits such as the Sylphs, Air Sprites and Butterfly Faeries, the Elves of Light are similar to human form but with an ethereal, almost glowing appearance.
Characterized by their long slender forms, delicate pointed features, and their light long blonde or golden hair, they are the higher form of elves, having maintained a form of immortality and freedom from aging.
They are most known for their skills of magic, archery, and their ability to speak with the trees and communicate with earth spirits.
Tolkien portrayed them quite beautifully in his work, obviously having been inspired and called to share their messages and wisdom with the world.
Their realms are so beautiful that many who visit do not wish to leave. This is why I have reserved this journey for the last, so that you are well prepared and ready for the journey there.
It is an experience like no other and can activate your gifts if you are ready and willing. It is a powerful activation and one that we must be prepared for.
Before we begin this journey, I would like to go through some magic work that will be very helpful once these gifts are activated. It’s important to know that the Elves of Light will only help us if they know our motives are selfless and pure.
In these next chapters, I will share some ways we can prepare rituals, create enchantments and spells for healing and transformation, and create our own magical wands and tools.
