I really enjoyed creating this little bonus lesson for Lifebook 2018. This was a fun and free painting, as I wanted to keep it really loose and playful.
In this video I explain a little why I painted this at the time and what it meant for me…
Supply list
- Watercolor paper (I used Arches, hot pressed)
- A few watercolors of your favorite colors (I used Daniel Smith: Cobalt teal, green gold, Purpulite genuine, potters pink, opera pink, shadow violet and quinacridone gold) but please use what you have, any of your favorite colors will do!
- A large and/or medium watercolor brush, and a fine liner for details (synthetic is fine as long as it’s fairly soft and hold some water)
- Some color pencils in the same tones as your watercolors (optional)
- A palette for mixing; some paper towels and a water jar; HB pencil and eraser
