We’ll spend ten days in the breathtaking Dordogne region in the South of France, where we’ll be painting mystical and magical creatures inspired by myth, nature, and the incredible history of this region.
Being immersed in such a beautiful and ancient place has a way of opening your creativity in a really natural and intuitive way.

Your days with Katrina will be a beautiful mix of creative studio time, fun excursions, cultural experiences, meditations, and oracle readings — with plenty of free time to relax, explore, and regenerate.
Throughout the retreat, Katrina will guide you through two full art projects inspired by magic, myths, and legends. We’ll be working with acrylics and oils, painting mystical and magical creatures, and you’ll be supported step-by-step in bringing your own unique visions to life in a way that feels personal and meaningful.
Perigord Retreats is a stunning villa retreat, complete with a spacious art studio and a beautiful lavender garden that will be in full bloom during our stay… a real treat, and such an inspiring setting to create in.
For inspiration, we’ll wander through medieval villages, explore enchanting castles, visit mystical caves, and soak in the beauty of the French countryside — a region rich with history, atmosphere, and culture that naturally awakens the imagination.

Your Home for the Retreat — Perigord Retreats
Perigord Retreats is a beautiful family-run sanctuary hosted by Harrison, his wife Katel, and their adorable young son. There’s a warm, welcoming feeling here that makes you feel at home the moment you arrive.
Harrison is a wonderful organiser and such great company during the stay — always helpful, attentive, and ready for a good laugh — while Katel is an incredible cook who prepares delicious, home-cooked meals with so much care. The food is truly one of the highlights of being there.
The retreat is located near the medieval town of Gourdon in Southwest France, with easy train connections from the airports of Toulouse, Paris, Bergerac, and Brive — making travel fairly simple while still feeling like a peaceful escape into the countryside.
The accommodation consists of two charming houses on the same piece of land, nestled between the Quercy and Perigord regions at the edge of a small village. Surrounded by trees, hedgerows, and nature, with almost no traffic nearby, the loudest sounds you’ll hear are birds singing and the gentle wildlife in the woods behind the house.
The land itself is very special — once an old truffle orchard (which still occasionally produces truffles!) and now home to beautiful gardens, trees, flowers, and over 1,000 lavender plants that will be in full bloom during our retreat!
Harrison and Katel even produce their own honey and essential oils from the lavender. They also grow organic vegetables, raise chickens for fresh eggs, and care for a small orchard of fruit trees, creating a space that feels abundant, peaceful, and deeply connected to nature.
It’s a calm, nourishing environment that perfectly supports creativity, rest, and inspiration.

Katrina Koltes spent years traveling the world as a disaster relief volunteer, leading rehabilitation programs to aid those in need.
Now based in Italy, she dedicates herself to a full-time art practice, where she hosts transformative workshops, retreats, and oracle readings that inspire healing and invite exploration of mystical, magical realms.
Her mission is to uplift women who have faced trauma or loss, guiding them toward deep healing, self-discovery, and a rekindling of their creative spirit.
Through her art and jewelry, Katrina channels spirit realms, helping others reconnect with their inner strength, authentic voice, and unique magic.
