My retreat in Sardinia with Katrina Koltes was so much more than an opportunity to paint. Katrina is wonderfully creative, soft-spoken, extremely kind and generous, watchful without ever being intrusive, and incredibly encouraging. Everything was meticulously planned, from the choice of a beautiful, scenic and wonderfully relaxing venue to the cultural and natural excursions, with thoughtful surprises and unexpected gifts along the way. Meditation and resonant experiences offered gentle opportunities for self-reflection, while the caring, fun companionship made the whole experience feel both nurturing and joyful. I came because I wanted to break away from realism and begin using my imagination more freely, and Katrina is exactly the right person to help nurture that desire.

I’ve just returned from Katrina’s retreat in Sardinia. It was such a wonderful, well-crafted experience with a great group of ladies. We sailed on a small ship to Corsica and back, relaxed and swam on stunning beaches, meditated, we were enveloped in a beautiful Sound Bath experience, saw Neolithic sights, ate amazing food, stayed in a fabulous small agritourismo resort and created beautiful watercolours. Katrina is a great creative guide and teacher, always full of inspiration and a calm demeanour. We had lots of laughs, discussions and hugs, a birthday celebration and a Sardinian music and costume session. So well planned and such a great variety of experiences with an attention to detail without being over-whelmed. Definitely will be returning to another of Katrina’s retreats.

I just returned from a most magical week on the island of Sardinia with Katrina and an amazing group of ladies. Katrina is an expert planner of these retreats incorporation art sessions as well as exploring the local beauty to incorporate into our paintings and experiences. While here we went sailing, went to the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen, wandered among ancient t Neolithic ruins, experienced sound healing, had a late night adventure at a local town looking for gelato and grew in my understanding of watercolor skills. New friendships are made and these retreats always leave you eager for the next one. Katrina is a genuine treasure.

This was a very powerful experience. Katrina is a wonderful and patient teacher. I learned a lot and there is definitely an advantage to learning art techniques in person versus online. I had been looking forward to this retreat for at least a year and was not disappointed. The spiritual ceremonial immersion and art lessons that reinforced the experiences made it all the more magical. I came home feeling that my soul did undergo a rewilding and it has no interest in being tamed again. Thank you, Katrina, for hosting this and I’m so blessed to have met you. You are a beautiful soul!

This was my first retreat with Katrina and my first art retreat abroad. She provided very thorough instruction and introduced me to new techniques and art materials. As a spiritual person, I am always looking to connect within and with my environment. Katrina’s retreat provided multiple opportunities throughout to get us out of our minds and creating from the heart. Katrina herself is a very conscientious leader, empathic, and a beautiful soul. I would absolutely attend another retreat with her in the future and highly recommend her retreats for spiritual creatives.

I have always loved to follow Katrina on her online offerings. Her in person workshops always appeared mystical and somehow unattainable. As she paired up with annie Hamman, the opportunity could not be seized. Katrina is an amazing host. She made me feel welcome and inspired since the first instant that she walked to the bus to welcome us. Her generosity and giving nature spills like a spring of goodness and is what I appreciated mostly. Her amazing inspiring no shaming teaching skills and patience provided a delightful painting experience. Last but not least, her choice of venue for the experience and the simple luxury of a private monastery for us to dive into the beauty of the hills of Umbria was a gift that will remain in my memory forever.
