Dragon Fae

In many old myths and fantasy traditions there are stories of beings known as Dragon Fae, sometimes called Dragon Faeries.
They’re described as ancient magical guardians who share traits of both dragons and faeries.
According to legend, they were created long ago when dragon magic and fae magic were joined together.
Dragons were powerful elemental beings, while the fae were deeply connected to nature and enchantment. The Dragon Fae were said to carry a little of both, which made them incredibly rare and powerful.
Unlike most faeries, Dragon Fae were often described as warrior like protectors. Their role in myth was to guard sacred places, hidden realms, and sometimes even the dragons themselves.
Because they belonged to both worlds, they were seen as keepers of balance between dragonkind and the fae.
Stories say they could have draconic features like scales, horns, claws, or glowing eyes, while still having the wings and magical abilities of the fae. One of their most mysterious abilities was shapeshifting—the power to change between different forms, sometimes appearing as a fae, a dragon-like being, or even human.
Like many mythological creatures, no one knows if Dragon Fae were ever truly real.
But throughout stories and legends they are remembered as ancient guardians of magic, powerful beings that stand somewhere between the fierce strength of dragons and the enchantment of the faery realm.
