A little note about the Retreat Venue

Part of Rahona’s charm is its beautiful hillside setting right above the sea, which gives us those incredible views and secluded atmosphere. Because of this, there are sloping paths around the property and a steeper path down to the rocky shoreline.  Guests should be comfortable walking on slopes, uneven surfaces and rocky terrain, and able to manage the paths independently. (Comfortable, supportive footwear is advised, and water shoes are recommended for the rocky beach.)

Rahona may not be suitable for guests with significant mobility difficulties.

Description

RETREAT TERMS & CONDITIONS:

1. Reservations and deposits

To secure a reservation for the retreat, each participant must submit a non-refundable deposit of €700.00 (the “Deposit”) at the time of registration.
The remaining balance of the total retreat cost must be paid in full no later than 180 days prior to the scheduled departure date.
 Failure to remit the final payment by the specified deadline constitutes a material breach of these terms and may result in the immediate forfeiture of the Deposit and the cancellation of the reservation at the Organizer’s sole discretion.

2. Cancellation by the organizer and force majeure

If the retreat is cancelled by the Organizer (Katrina Koltes) for reasons other than Force Majeure, including if the minimum number of participants required for the retreat to proceed is not reached, the Organizer shall refund the total amount previously remitted by the Participant within a reasonable period following the official cancellation notice. The Organizer’s liability is strictly limited to the return of said funds; the Organizer shall have no further legal or financial obligation to the Participant for any consequential damages, including but not limited to fees, penalties, or costs associated with the procurement or cancellation of airline tickets, lodging, or other independent travel arrangements.

Furthermore, the Organizer shall not be held liable, and shall have no obligation to issue refunds, if the performance of this agreement is delayed, hindered, or prevented due to a Force Majeure event. Such events include, without limitation, risk or threat of war, riot, civil strife, strikes, industrial disputes, terrorist activity, natural disasters, fire, government-imposed travel restrictions, or any other unforeseen occurrences beyond the Organizer’s reasonable control.

3. (Travel) Insurance and limitation of liability

The Participant explicitly acknowledges and agrees that Katrina Koltes (the “Organizer”) does not provide, sell, or maintain travel insurance policies, and shall not be held liable to the Participant for any financial loss or costs incurred, except as expressly provided otherwise within this Agreement.

Consequently, the Participant is required to independently procure comprehensive personal travel insurance. Such insurance should be sufficient to cover all potential risks and liabilities, including but not limited to the forfeiture of non-refundable retreat fees, cancellation or alteration of airline tickets, loss or theft of luggage, trip delays, emergency medical expenses, medical evacuation, and lodging costs.

4. Participant Suitability, Mobility and Personal Assistance

This retreat involves walking on slopes, uneven surfaces and steps, including access to the hotel’s seaside and beach areas, as well as walking during certain excursions. The retreat is not suitable for anyone with an ongoing mobility or health condition that requires personal assistance, physical support or supervision with walking, transfers or daily activities. Participants must be independently mobile and physically able to safely navigate the property, access their accommodation and facilities, and participate in all scheduled activities and excursions. Participants must also be able to manage and carry their own luggage and personal belongings without assistance. The retreat organizer (Katrina Koltes) is unable to provide individual mobility assistance, physical support or personal care, as she is responsible for leading and supporting the entire retreat group. By booking the retreat, participants confirm that they are able to meet these requirements and accept responsibility for ensuring that they are physically capable of participating safely in the retreat and its activities.

5. Flights & Airport Transfers

The Participant is expressly advised not to book flights or other independent travel arrangements until Katrina Koltes (the “Organizer”) provides formal written confirmation via email that the retreat has reached its minimum required capacity and is officially confirmed. The Organizer shall bear no liability for any non-refundable travel expenses incurred by the Participant prior to the issuance of this official confirmation.
Complimentary airport transportation shall be provided under the following strict conditions:
The total retreat fee includes one (1) single collective ground transfer to and from Thessaloniki Airport (SKG).

  • Arrival Transfers: Shuttle service will be available exclusively from Thessaloniki Airport (SKG) on the afternoon of the designated arrival date. Participants are strongly advised to schedule incoming flights for a morning arrival to mitigate the risk of travel delays.
  • Departure Transfers: Transportation to Thessaloniki Airport (SKG) will be provided only on the morning of the designated departure date. Consequently, Participants are advised to book outbound flights with an afternoon departure time. The Organizer is not responsible for arranging or financing alternative transportation for flights scheduled outside of these designated windows.
6. Complimentary airport transfers and independent travel

In the event that the Participant’s flight arrival or departure times fall outside of the designated windows specified by the Organizer, or if the Participant arrives or departs on a date other than the official commencement and conclusion dates of the retreat, the Organizer shall be completely absolved of any obligation to provide transportation. Under such circumstances, the Participant shall be solely responsible for securing, coordinating, and financing their own alternative transportation arrangements.

7. Consent and media clause

By participating in Katrina Koltes Retreats, the Participant hereby acknowledges and agrees that the Organizer may capture, record, and post photographs, video recordings, and other digital media taken during the Retreat onto various social media platforms. Such publication shall be deemed permitted and authorized unless the Participant explicitly submits a formal, written objection to the distribution of their likeness. In the absence of a timely written objection, the Organizer shall conclusively rely upon the Participant’s implied consent and non objection to the processing and public distribution of such media.

8: Governing law and jurisdiction

This Agreement, and all disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims), shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Italy and the applicable regulations of the European Union.

The parties hereto irrevocably agree that the courts of Italy shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute, controversy, or claim that arises out of or in connection with this Agreement.

9. Limitation of liability and disclaimer

In no event shall Katrina Koltes (the “Organizer”) be liable to the customer (the “Participant”) for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential injury, loss, or damage incurred by the Participant arising out of or in connection with:

(i) the Retreat purchased under this Agreement, including without limitation, any associated transportation, activities, and accommodations, whether occurring prior to, during, or after the Retreat;
(ii) any act, omission, negligence, accident, error, or default of third-party service providers;
(iii) any alteration of the itinerary made necessary or advisable for the safety and well-being of the Participant;
(iv) any event of force majeure, including but not limited to acts of terrorism, war, accidents, extreme weather conditions, or other unavoidable natural disasters.

All payments made are strictly non-refundable, and no refunds or credits shall be issued under any circumstances if the Participant is subsequently – after the full amount has been paid – unable to attend the Retreat, regardless of the time period remaining before the scheduled commencement of the Retreat.

The submission of the booking form by the Participant shall constitute absolute and unconditional acceptance of all terms and conditions set forth herein.

Thank you.
