shamanic blessing ceremony
Upon arrival we will be welcomed with a blessing ceremony led by a Mexican shaman and medicine woman, connecting us to Mother Nature and the four elements. This ritual of gratitude aligns our energies with the land, creating a harmonious start to our healing journey.
Tree Planting Ceremony
This ceremony symbolizes personal growth and our group’s collective energy. As we plant a tree we leave behind a living piece of ourselves as a gesture of gratitude to nurturing the land, embedding our experiences and aspirations into the soil.
yoga sessions
Every other day (five sessions total) we will be guided through yoga and meditation practices designed to rejuvenate our body, mind, and spirit, and awaken our creativity.
Catered to all levels, there will be a blend of traditional postures along with the tranquil sounds of nature, creating a deeply restorative experience.
healing sound bath
This sound bath takes place in the tranquil pool, surrounded by nature, as healing vibrations ripple through the water. It’s a unique experience that combines the power of sound with the calming embrace of water, guiding you into deep relaxation and inner peace.
apapacho ceremony
In Mexican culture, “apapacho” means more than just a hug—it’s an embrace that reaches the soul.
Each person chooses their own paint color and decorates a commemorative t-shirt, symbolizing the bond shared during the retreat.

As you float in the crystal-clear, mineral-rich waters, the cenote’s mystical ambiance envelops you, offering a profound sense of connection to the earth.
We’ll connect deeply with this sacred site, absorbing its magic, immersing ourselves in healing waters, and embracing its playful spirit to nourish our inner child. Together, we’ll capture inspiration in our sketchbooks, letting the land’s essence flow through each page.
mujeres island
Isla Mujeres, a tranquil island off the Mexican coast, is a haven of spiritual serenity.
Once a sacred site to Ixchel, the Maya goddess of fertility and healing, it retains a profound spiritual energy. The island’s natural beauty, with its crystal-clear waters and pristine beaches, invites a deep sense of tranquility and connection.
Here, the rhythmic lull of the waves and the gentle sea breeze encourage introspection and inner peace. We will bring our watercolor sketchbooks along and gather inspiration and as Isla Mujeres is more than a destination; it’s a spiritual journey, offering a space to reconnect with our inner selves and Mother Nature.

Puerto Morelos is a hidden gem just 30 minutes north of Playa del Carmen. This laid-back fishing village is celebrated for its beautiful white-sand beaches, vibrant coral reefs, and charming wooden lighthouses.
With watercolor sketchbooks in hand, we’ll soak in the serene atmosphere—swimming in the crystal-clear waters, capturing inspiration in our sketches, and wandering through the colorful town with its unique local shops.

- Where is Lunita Jungle Retreat located? Lunita Jungle Retreat is nestled in the heart of the Mayan jungle, just 40 minutes away from Cancun Airport in Mexico.
- What facilities and amenities are available at the retreat center? The facilities include an outdoor dining area, comfortable lodging, yoga and meditation spaces, ceremony areas, cold plunge bath, pool, relaxation area and more. In each room there is both a queen bed and single bed, ceiling fan, towels and complimentary toiletries, hairdryer, private bathroom with shower, private garden space, mini fridge, and safe.
- Can I bring a friend? Of course, you may share a room with a friend, each person has their own shared room cost. Please let me know upon booking who you’d like to room with, or email me at katekoltes@gmail.com for any questions!
- I’m beginner painter, can I still join? Yes all levels and beginners are welcome! My process if very playful and unique, and I guide you each and every step of the way. I believe that every one of us is an artist, we just have to find and activate our magic.
- What should I pack for my stay? We recommend packing comfortable clothing, swimwear, insect repellent, sunscreen, beach towels, and most importantly, art supplies! A detailed more list will be provided upon booking.
- Can I bring my partner husband even if he wouldn’t participate in the painting lessons? Of course, please let me know when booking if room with a partner or husband, additional costs for room and board and all activities except art classes are: 2,200 Euro.
- Is it safe to travel to and stay at Lunita Jungle Retreat? Absolutely! The Lunita Rreteat center prioritizes the safety and well-being of their guests. The retreat center is located in a secure area, and detailed travel guidance and support will be provided.
- What is your cancellation policy? Due to pre-payment booking for the retreat deposits are non-refundable. Retreat quota must be paid in full three months before departure and is not refundable (unless we can fill your spot).

Katrina Koltes spent years traveling the world as a disaster relief volunteer, leading rehabilitation programs to aid those in need.
Now based in Italy, she dedicates herself to a full-time art practice, where she hosts transformative workshops, retreats, and oracle readings that inspire healing and invite exploration of mystical, magical realms.
Her mission is to uplift women who have faced trauma or loss, guiding them toward deep healing, self-discovery, and a rekindling of their creative spirit.
