For much of my childhood I lived in third world countries and parts of the world where we didn’t have lush green pine forests and mountains.
I can still clearly remember the first time I set foot in the woods – the aw and excitement I felt as I sat beneath the pine trees and felt the soft moss beneath my bare feet.
I closed my eyes and took in the scents of pine and earth, the sounds of the wind and the birds, and I felt at peace.
There’s something deep and primal with each one of us that calls us back to nature to feel complete.
As the earth cleanses our soul and ignites out senses, and makes us feel whole.
I’ve often seen foxes lately so I wanted to add one in this painting.
They are a beautiful symbol of speaking our truth while learning to trust our own intuition and inner wisdom.
They also remind us to break free from social conditioning and express ourselves with freedom.
