The Venetian Mask

Do you love to travel and paint your journeys?

One of my favorite places to visit has always been the city of Venice.

There is something about those little windy streets and canals blended with the 18th century history that make it so inviting and artistically inspiring.

In this workshop I show you some fun collage and acrylic techniques where we will be creating a visual story through art.

Project One: Venetian Mask

In our bonus lesson We will be taking a virtual stroll through the poppy fields of Tuscany as we paint a landscape in acrylics creating some yummy texture and vivid colors.

Bonus Lesson: Tuscan Dreams

What you will learn in this class:

  • Painting in layers with acrylic washes to get smooth skin tones
  • Using patterned paper and collage for texture and interest
  • Creating beautiful effects with stencils

  • Telling a visual story through art
  • Painting with a palette knife to create texture
